I hope everyone has been keeping up with the activities of our Scouts while at Sea Base.  Steve and Will have been keeping us posted daily of their activities and they appear to be having a fantastic time.

The Scouts had a great campout at 5 Lakes on the weekend of April 23^rd thru the 25^th.  They survived some pretty ugly rain late Friday and early Saturday, ate excellent food, completed their swim tests for both Sea Base and Bert Adams Scout Reservation, conducted Patrol competition in Orienteering (congratulations to the Spartans) and did an excellent job cleaning and clearing the Skills area at 5 Lakes as an Environmental service project.  Job well done.  I know Jimbo really appreciated the work completed.

First, and most important, today is Cody Davis' Eagle Court of Honor.  It is being held at Pelican Park at the Pelican Landing Pavilion.  It will begin at 2:30 PM sharp.   The uniform for this event is Class A with Sash.  If you are a participant in this event you need to be there no later than 2 PM.  I hope all of the Scouts from Troop 85 will be present to help Cody and his family celebrate this most awesome achievement.  Refreshments will follow the ceremony.

I know it has been a couple of weeks since I posted information so I wanted to pass on a few announcements.

First, today, April 18th, is Cody Davis' Eagle CoH.  It will be at Pelican Park at the Pelican's Landing Pavilion.  It will begin at 2:30 sharp.  Everyone planning on attending, as well as those participating, should be there no later than 2PM.  The uniform is Class A with Merit Badge Sash.  I hope all of the Scouts from our Troop are attending to help Cody and his family celebrate this most honored and treasured achievement.

Summer Camp is tentatively scheduled for June 13th thru June 19th.  We are in the registration process now and we need to know who intends on going to this Summer Camp.

I would like to thank Steve Newman, Ken Hoffpauir, Michael Castagnetta, Carson and Carter Davis and Remy Hoffpauir for supporting the District Arrow of Light Ceremony at the Rennaisance Festival tonight.  Their support was definitely noticed and job well done.  I would also like to congratulate Cooper Davis for achieving the Arrow of Light Award.  Cooper will be bridging into Troop 610.  We wish you great success in your Scouting journey.
